Tea Box Online Shop aims to bring organic tea from reliable family farms into Swiss and European market with transparent supply chain information. Consumers are more environmentally conscious these days. However, sources of supply of tea in mass market is often opaque and unclear. The goal of Tea Box is to bring high quality tea with clear information regarding where the tea is grown, collected and processed.  

Tea Box aims to address to communities who enjoy quality tea, who care about environment, and those social conscious consumers who want to know more about how and where their products are coming from when making a purchase decision. 

Tea Box Online Shop Innovation

 Swiss and European consumers can buy tea easily from supermarket or specialized tea shops. However, their place of origin is often murky and their organic claims might only be a marketing term which is not true. The innovation from Tea Box Online Shop is to present a transparent supply chain, as regard to where and how teas are grown and processed, with social networks and mobile technology. This information transparency enables customers to confidently make an informed choice when purchasing tea.       

The actors for Tea Box Online Shop 

The actors for Tea Box Online Shop are customers, tea box customer service team, tea box supply chain and purchasing team, marketing and graphic design team and IT team. Their roles are as follow:

• Customers: Final users of tea box’s products. They contribute to tea box’s revenue. They voice they preference and influence product offers from Tea Box.
• Customer service team from Tea Box: Customers’ direct contact. They handle customers’ inquiries and orders, providing samples and asking feedbacks.
• Supply chain and purchasing team from Tea Box: They have good product knowledge and are in charge of sourcing and negotiation with suppliers.
• Marketing and graphic design team: They conceptualize and realize all marketing communication campaigns, product and packaging design.    
• IT team: Responsible for the functionality of Tea Box e-commerce site.

Our added value  

The added value of Tea Box is to bring consumers and communities closer to tea farm, providing information needed by consumers when they make a purchasing information. Tea Box Online Shop enables consumers to know how and in which environment our tea is grown and produced. Because of this transparent information, social conscious consumers can conveniently purchase quality tea from a trusted source.   

We put in place a responsive e-commerce site to allow users to purchase our products easily from desktop    computer to mobile devices. We have chosen to work with WordPress and WooCommerce, an e-commerce plugin from WordPress. It is because we need an open sourced CMS focusing on content presentation to communicate our brand spirit rather than only focusing on sales and retail. WordPress is selected thanks to its ability to present multiple content in a flexible and dynamic ways.
